Application Requirements

All international student applicants must meet the following requirements for their application to be considered complete.

Potential candidates should be proficient in the English Language, UC schools and most major universities will require an IBT TOEFL score of 60 or higher, or a comparable result from other language tests such as TOEFL Jr., Duolingo, or IELTS.

For students who are not fully proficient, we require additional ESL classes to ensure academic success.

Find a Host Family:
All international students and their families are required to find housing. The school is not responsible for student housing. The school does periodic checks of the homestay to ensure the host family is committed to creating a warm, secure home environment for students.

Host families provide students with cultural enrichment, individualized care, and a direct connection to their new community.

Contact the school for a list of families who have expressed interest in hosting an international student.

Medical insurance coverage is mandatory for all international students. Insurance must be purchased and proof submitted to the international office before the first day of school.

Students will not be allowed to attend class without submitting completed medical documents:
  • Immunization Record and Requirements Form – signed by a licensed physician.
  • Emergency Contact and Health Information Form – completed by a guardian and host parent.
  • All documents must be clearly labeled in English and submitted at registration.

Upon acceptance, families will receive a registration packet with required documents, including a contract and payment forms.

Note: When paying by credit card there is an additional 4% charge. When making payments, please include the students full name and grade.
